[1-05] FORGOTTEN HOLIDAY

Orie is in the loungeroom, beginning to read a story about magical dragons on her phone.

The story starts with the words: "October 11th, XX19. 1:00PM."

ORIE:
"wAIT!
ELEVENTH???"

Orie quickly darts her eyes to the top of her phone screen. it reads: "11:55 PM"

ORIE:
"No!!!! I missed it!!!"

From the hallway, Arakados frantically speeds through the doorway and widens her eyes toward Orie.

ARAKADOS:
"Is everything okay? What happened?"

ORIE:
"We missed invert day!"

Arakados sighs relief and looks at the clock on the wall.

ARAKADOS:
"Oh yeaaaa, today WAS meant to be invert day, right."

ORIE:
"And now it's too late! We'll have to wait a whole month for the next eleventh day to celebrate it!"

Orie cups her head in her paws in disappointment.

ARAKADOS:
"Hold on, isn't next month the eleventh month of the year?"

Orie gasps with excitement as she gleams at Arakados.

ORIE:
"I HAVE THE PERFECT IDEA!!
We can celebrate Invert MONTH instead!!!!!"

ARAKADOS:
"Ooh! Yiss! Is it just going to be normal Invert Day shenanigans? Or do you have other ideas in mind?"

Orie ponders this question for a moment, and then points her left paw in the air.

ORIE:
"YES! How about, instead of, you know, using shapeshifting stuff to invert all of our colors, like we normally do...
we can ACT the opposite of what we normally act like! It's like, a sort of Opposite Day, minus the confusion!
Ooh, this will be so fun!"

ARAKADOS:
"You think you could use your uh...
what's it called?
Myrkuran 'syntax' sourcery?"

Orie blinks at Arakados.

ORIE:
"Wait, Is that what it's actually called?"

ARAKADOS:
"Maybe? I've heard that phrase thrown around before."

She shrugs.

ARAKADOS:
"I dunno. I'm not like, an expert at Myrkur related things.
Either way, do you think that could help?"

ORIE:
"Right, uhhh. Yeah, I'll think of something, definitely!"

Arakados turns away from Orie.

ARAKADOS:
"Can't wait. Anyway, I've got some work to do! Gotta find Phoenix's secret!"

ORIE:
"Wait, are you sure that's a good idea? There can't possibly be THAT many songs to filter through."

ARAKADOS:
"Oh, don't worry, I've got my methods."

ORIE:
"Your methods? Wait-"

Arakados flops back into the hallway and sprints back toward Phoenix's Lair

ORIE:
"One track mind, I swear to Idna Drek."

For hours, Orie thinks about what she could use her Myrkuran... syntax for.

At around 1:30AM, on October 12th, she finally has an idea.

ORIE:

;I cast this spell for everyone who lives in this house to have their personalities inverted to the opposite of what they are normally like, only on the eleventh month of every year;

"Wait, oh yeah."

;I cast this spell for everyone who lives in this house to be inverted on every 11th day of every month, as well;

"Perfect!"
